Blackstone Rubber is seeking distribution partners serving South Africa and the wider Southern African market ahead of Automechanika Johannesburg, according to the company’s event page.

The Indian supplier says it intends to hold partner discussions at stand 2E18. The trade fair’s organiser confirms that the event takes place at Gallagher Convention Centre from 27–29 October 2026.

An OTR repair distribution opportunity

Blackstone identifies retreaders, tyre service businesses, mines, quarries and fleet workshops among the customers its prospective partners would serve. Its stated offering includes off-the-road tyre patches, repair chemicals, cushion gum, tools and kits.

The company says it will discuss pricing, minimum orders, lead times and support with prospective distributors. These are invitations to commercial discussions; the announcement does not establish that a South African distribution agreement has been signed.

Questions for local buyers

For a distributor evaluating the opportunity, the useful next step is a written proposal covering stock availability, technical training, product traceability, warranty handling and responsibility for after-sales support. Buyers should distinguish a supplier’s intended market entry from inventory and service capacity already available locally.

Repair materials also need to be assessed against the intended application and the relevant tyre and repair-system requirements. A product display or online assessment tool is not, by itself, evidence that an individual damaged casing can safely return to service.

The story adds a specific potential distribution channel to the wider Automechanika programme. Product-performance and commercial-return claims have not been independently tested by SATreads.
