Michelin Connected Fleet Launches Al Assistant

Michelin is launching an AI Assistant, which it said allows fleet managers to ask natural-language questions about vehicle operations. Michelin said it tested the system under real-life conditions. Users can request reports on fuel-efficient drivers, trucks requiring tire maintenance and vehicles that are off the road. They can also ask about monthly fuel-consumption costs.

Michelin designed the assistant as a closed system. The system supports data confidentiality and reduces complexity in daily fleet operations, Michelin said.

The assistant provides insights into fuel consumption, driver behavior and journey data. It supports heavy goods vehicle, passenger transport and light commercial vehicle fleets.

Michelin Connected Fleet plans to add features over time based on customer feedback.

“The AI Assistant is the natural evolution of our DNA, which is built around supporting our customers,” said Sophie Foucque, CEO of Michelin Connected Fleet, Europe, Africa and Australia. “Co-developed with some of our largest customers, it offers a more intuitive way to interact with vehicle usage data, while removing the need to generate multiple reports. Augmented fleet managers can therefore focus fully on the performance of their operations.”

Michelin AI Assistant Features

Customers can access the assistant directly through the MyConnectedFleet web portal. The system provides immediate answers to questions about safety and costs. It can also process more complex requests, including report generation and trend identification.

The assistant presents answers in text or visual formats. Its insights draw on real-time data.

Michelin Connected Fleet said 78% of fleet managers believe artificial intelligence will transform the sector. The company said the assistant provides real-time access to expertise based on 130 years in mobility and 30 years in data science.

Integration With Tire and Safety Tools

Fleet managers can combine the assistant with other Michelin Connected Fleet solutions. These include intelligent onboard cameras and patented automatic tire-wear inspection technologies. The available tools also include underinflation alerts.

Michelin Connected Fleet designed the products to support a consistent approach focused on practical fleet-management needs.

Michelin AI Assistant Availability

The Michelin AI Assistant is available to Michelin Connected Fleet customers in 10 countries.

The markets include the United Kingdom, United States, France, Spain and Denmark. Availability also covers the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Germany and Italy.
