In July 2012, as part of the company's global strategy, STARCO announced the creation of STARCO ZA, a new company serving the South African market and providing a bridgehead for further expansion on the African continent.

STARCO ZA was formed as a partnership between STARCO and the former South African distributor, Mac and TireCity, which with three distribution outlets strategically located in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town was already well-established in the South African market.

In May 2013, under the new STARCO ZA banner, the company has now established a fourth distribution outlet in Port Elizabeth. The new subsidiary will support the growing Fork Lift Truck tyre service market and has from its inception entered into service agreements with several major FLT operators in the region.

The new company in Port Elizabeth is under the leadership of Danie Coetzer, Regional Sales Manager Cape having more than 15 years of experience in the FLT business. The team to support him is Rudi du Toit as Sales Manager and Elouise du Toit on Administration.

With four distribution centres throughout South Africa, STARCO ZA offers its customers access to the complete range of STARCO special wheels, with a focus on agricultural, industrial and FLT products. Customers in South Africa will also benefit from access to the company's own global manufacturing services, covering solid and pneumatic tyres, plastic and steel wheels, and STARCO Schaad dual wheels for agricultural and ATV applications.
STARCO ZA has recently made its debut in the South African agricultural market at the 2013 NAMPO agricultural machinery and livestock show in Bothaville, where over 70,000 visitors had the opportunity of meeting the STARCO ZA sales team and seeing many STARCO products on display.
